Giant Leg Set and Lower Abs!!

So yesterday because my week was all screwed up I just did my own leg workout that I made up as I went along. I am dying today from soreness and I was so exhausted at the end yesterday that I literally forgot to do my calves. So happy I am feeling better. I swear my quads (flexed in the top right) take over everything I do for legs – darn things! Here you go!! weekend workouts

So my weekend was full of school stuff (no Fatkid ) and lots of gym time I did back and bis on Friday (but didn’t right it down – I promise I will next time!); legs on Saturday and Shoulders/Tris and Abs today. I also did cardio every day and it is taking some getting used to. I have been pretty much Paleo since Thursday now although I did add in some carbs yesterday for legs – I had oatmeal post workout and a brown rice, bean and cheese burrito later in the day – SO GOOD! But I haven’t been having headaches or any extra fatigue since cutting out grains so I’m pretty happy with it so far. I am doing my bulk cooking tomorrow night...

paleo(ish), shoulders and abs

So if you were around last summer you might remember when I went Paleo for a few weeks before we went to New York. I basically cut out grains and got my carbs from veggies and fruit. I took me a few days to adjust but once I did I felt great….and then we went to New York and I ate pie, pizza and pasta for 10 days. Needless to say I haven’t ever gone back to Paleo because I love my oats and legumes and sometimes, yes, my pizza. But I have also been eating gluten lately (which my body does not like) so I decided to go cold turkey at least for a week or so and see how I feel. i’m back!! and sleeping in my clothes..

Well, I am happy to say that this morning I finally felt like myself again in the gym. I have been in a major rut lately between being sick (literally I had a sinus infection for about a month), summer school, wedding stuff, work, etc. I have been having a really hard time getting into and enjoying my workouts and have kind of just been going through the motions. Yesterday was an incredibly long day – I left my house at 7am and didn’t leave work until 9pm. I went home, showered and put on my gym clothes. So I promised you guys I would share my plan with you and I can’t lie – I didn’t make one last weekend because I had a little too much fun at a bridal expo with one of my friends Work has been busy lately and I have to leave my house at 7:15am to get there by 8:00am so that means I literally can only work out for 30 minutes in the AM because my gym opens at 5:30. Some of these I will just have to do after work. new workout – arms and legs

So I am loving my new workout and I have to say I killed arms yesterday. I was so glad my biceps were sore today Today I did legs and abs and although the workout takes a while it felt good to be lifting heavy on my legs again and really pushing myself. I am a teeny bit bummed because I couldn’t do my wide squats at the beginning and they were actually my LAST thing due to gym traffic. That meant I was taxed and couldn’t go up in weight which I really wanted to do, but I still got 155 (110+45lb bar) so I’m not too upset Also, FitFluential is starting a new thing called #PROOF on Twitter where you tweet or post pics about your workout for the day....

Hi everyone! I realize I have been kind of failing on the consistent blogging lately but there isn’t much to be done about it. I have a lot going on with school in terms of papers and homework and I am co-chair of a huge auction that we have every year that starts on Tuesday. Sugar is NOT my friend. Yesterday was easily the worst day I have had in terms of the LiveFit trainer. And a little too late I saw it coming and then just chose to say ‘screw it’ and pretty much threw the day out the window. So last week I bought pork (besides bacon) for the first time and make the slow cooker bar-b-que pork recipe I posted. I also made this sweet and sour pork recipe from Clean Eating. I have to say because I am not a fan of soy sauce, this was not my favorite, but it was a big hit with the Fatkid. He had it over brown rice for dinner. It was super easy and quick to make and he liked it cold for lunch the next day too.
