First off, thank you for all of your comments and email in response to my post this week. It meant a lot to hear your feedback and I appreciate all the kind comments. Now on to questions…. So I got a lot of questions about my detox post on Instagram yesterday. Almost every day I wake up and the first thing I drink is a cup of hot water with the juice of 1/2 lemon squeezed into it, followed by a glass of regular water. This just helps jump start your system and I like to do it. When I have been eating a lot of junk (i.e. candy, gluten, wine, etc.) then I add in ACV for a week or so. It is the ACV “with the mother” meaning un-pastureized. It tastes...

Read MoreThis is seriously one of the easiest recipes I have made and basically came out of necessity because the Fatkid and I are flat out sick of chicken. I made mine Paleo and his traditional so I’ll post both options. Ingredients: 4-5 boneless, skinless chicken breasts Sautéed veggies of your choice Almond meal or traditional bread crumbs (bread crumbs are not Paleo but almond meal is) Laughing cow skinny Swiss wedges (optional - not technically Paleo) No salt seasoning – any brand Directions: It is super important to flatten the chicken because you will be rolling it. You can either pound the chicken – which I hate doing. So instead I cut the chicken...
Read MoreI have a food confession to make. I have not been eating enough. I know it. Mostly because I haven’t actually been packing as much as I should every day and also because around 3pm I want sugar and carbs and coffee. After I went to the store yesterday I made sure to make plenty of food and portion out all of my snacks so that I can bring as much as I want to the office and leave it there during the week. Also, if I get home late then I can just grab a pre-measured cottage cheese or protein pancake and eat that instead of grabbing something else convenient but not that probably has things in it I should’ the eating, i.e. gluten. We are headed to Vegas in...
Read MoreThis recipe is from last week’s WIAW and it is super easy. Ingredients: 2-3 chicken breasts cubed 1 onion chopped 1 pepper chopped 1 container of rice (I used Spanish) 1 container of low sodium black beans Low sodium chicken broth Directions: Cook the rice according to package – I used 1/2 water and 1/2 chicken broth for the liquid In a large skillet sautéed onions and peppers until almost cooked Add in enough chicken brother to cover the bottom of the pan and cook chicken on a simmer covered Add seasonings of choice – I used pepper, red pepper flakes and taco seasoning (prior to covering) When chicken is cooked, add cooked rice and black beans to...
Read MoreSo…really quick, here is my leg workout from Saturday and my arm workout from today. Legs: Leg curl, superset with leg extension. 3×12 Inverted leg press, 10 with feet high up on the plate, 10 with feet together. 3x Plie squat, superset with dead lifts. 3×12 Standing calves. 3×12 Seated calves 3×12 Then I did my grocery shopping because I didn’t go on Sunday like I normally do. Also the Fatkid and I just realized that our bachelor/bachelorette parties are less than 3 months (mine) and just over three months (his) away – HOLY #$%$. That means the wedding is just over 4 months away so we need to kick it in gear after the holidays. For...
Read MoreSo my eats have been all over the place lately, mostly because I am getting back into a regular routine after finishing finals. That’s right, I AM DONE WITH LAW SCHOOL FINALS!! I don’t have any finals for my classes next semester and I am so excited that my next test I take will be the Bar exam. Now I am just going to work and get ready for all the fun wedding events coming up I got my dress on Monday and I am going to have my first fitting next month. And the bridal shower is in exactly one month so I am going to up my cardio and yoga and really clean up my food. I had quite a few indulgences during finals. That being said, here are some of my eats...
Read MoreSo this week has been good with eats. Super appropriate for a WIAW (What I Ate Wednesday) I made my clean turkey chili for lunches for me and then made some peanut butter banana protein bars for breakfast/snacks. They are a variation of my normal oatmeal bakes and were a little crumbly but completely delicious. This recipe was cut into 12 bars and I’ve been eating 1 or 1 and 1/2 for breakfast. Ingredients: 6 scoops vanilla protein powder (or chocolate) 3 ripe bananas 6 tbsp of peanut butter 2 cups old fashioned oats 1 cup almond milk lots of cinnamon (because I love it) Standard warning!! I do not like sweetener so I don’t bake with it. If you normally...
Read MoreI hope you all enjoyed your weekend I know we did! Saturday I did legs and while it might not seem like a lot – it kills! Then we went for a hike on Camelback mountain (we always do Echo Canyon which is the ‘harder’ side) the weather was soooo nice – I am thrilled it is finally below 100! AND spent sometime outside with the bugs Yesterday during football I wanted to try to make some paleo protein muffins and I have to say I think these were a success. BUT BE WARNED: I do not like sweeteners so if you usually cook with some form of sweetener (or vanilla extract) I would add it because you might find this to be not sweet enough for...
Read MoreYikes! So I realized yesterday that our engagement pictures are 4 weeks from this Sunday. Whoops :/ I guess I should’ve been a little cleaner on my eats lately but 4 weeks is plenty of time as long as I stick with it. Before I go into that here is a little re-cap of what’s been going on in our lives Our weekly date nights 7:30 AM Saturday legs and cardio – this is seriously my favorite thing right now. It guarantees I get a good night’s sleep on Friday and then I have my whole Saturday left! A WIAW that didn’t make it (oops!!) The top is greek yogurt with almonds and strawberries and then tuna and avocado (new fav) the bottom is soup...
