a wedding date and place!

So I am super super excited to share with you guys that we are getting married on in May of 2013. This is one week after I graduate law school and two weeks before I start studying for the bar so it is kind of perfect timing. We also looked at a few places with my mom and by far our favorite was this one. Everything about it was exactly what we were looking for with atmosphere, ease for out-of-towners, etc. Here are a few pictures from there:
The top left is the lawn where we are having the ceremony (not as many flowers). And the other room is where our reception will be.

It is really everything I could have wanted for a location and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted now that we have out place picked out. The sales rep there was amazing at working with our budget too and I was literally jumping up and down when she told me our price out the door.
We will have a sunset ceremony (so it is cooler) and then a cocktail hour and dinner reception. It’s on a weekend so we are hoping/thinking everyone will be able to make a mini trip out of it and most of our in-town friends will probably do a staycation there.
We will probably do peach/blush, cream and light grey for our colors. We are going to look at suits next week so that the Fatkid can decide on dark or light grey because that will dictate how bright my girls’ dresses are.
I pulled these pictures of things I am liking (I pulled everything off Pinterest so I don’t know where all the pics came from (I need to be better at that). Also you can follow my Wedding board here if you want.
I am really loving the mismatched bridesmaids and am almost positive I will do that with my girls.
We are pretty sure this is going to be the look for the boys – but with a peach tie that is similar to the girls’ dresses.
These are just a few pics looking at blush colors.
I have a few meetings this week with photographers which is the next thing I need to book and then ‘day of’ planners and the dress is the next after that. So excited!!

My best friends wedding I am in in September is doing same color dresses but we all have a different style. She wanted us to be comfortable in what looked best on our body shape.

OooooOOOOOoooooh, pretty!!! I love the ceiling and chandeliers.
Pinterest is a godsend, although I hate to have to compare or measure my wedding against the beautiful things on there.
I love the peachy blush colour! We’re going with blue and white, but I am still playing with the idea of getting some peachy pink into my bouquet, just to be different – it’s got to stand out against a white dress somehow! Congratulations! It looks like it will be a beautiful wedding. I’ve been married a long time (13 years), but also got married the week after graduation law school. We came back from our honeymoon and I started studying for the bar. It was a really busy and exciting time, but it all worked out.

Where is this venue? Looks so familiar. I use to live in Phoenix about 6years ago. Its so pretty! Love you website and sense of humor.
