Good morning everyone!! I got some great news last night so today is definitely a great one.
Lets start with goals:
I am thankful…that taking better care of myself reflected in my school progress second semester. (I realize this might sound a little selfish but hear me out).
That I was taught healthy eating at a young age so that I wasn’t trying to start from scratch when I really decided to commit to it.
For my legs – they allow me to do so much and I feel that often people without physical challenges take their ability to move/walk/dance/run for granted. Just remember that next time you don’t want to go running/do yoga/weight lift/swim/walk the dog, etc. There is someone out there who would give anything to be able to do those things.
Yesterday I ended almost exactly on with macros which is great and also means I am keeping up with my second goal…food tracking!
Finally, I got up again today and did a BodyRock workout. Find the original
here. I love these because I don’t have to go to the gym and it takes 15 minutes (or less) to at least get your body started for the day.
Here is the exercises I did:
Back/Side Lunge –> I was switching legs each time, instead of each interval (I realized I was doing it wrong about half way through so just kept with it)
4 minutes intervals
7,9,8,7,7,7
Crazy Cali Combo
4 minutes max reps
30 reps
Single Leg Crunch –> This I did instead of the original side crunch
Lay flat on your back with both feet touching the floor and knees bent.
Extend on leg out in front you and crunch for 30 seconds. Switch legs and repeat.
24, 26, 25
23, 26, 26
I am going to have to do this one again soon to see if I can up the reps – I really liked it.
As soon as I finished I made an egg white omelet with leftover grilled veggies (onion, zucchini, squash) and a banana/strawberry protein shake.
I am putting together a few “how to” blogs regarding macros, and clean eating so please let me know if you have any questions you would like answered.
Have a great day!!
