So a little more on why I am thankful that taking better care of myself reflected on my grades second semester…. If you haven’t read the first post about why I decided to start this blog and lead a healthier lifestyle here is the short version: I decided to go back to school and get my law degree in August 2010. I loved school, but the stress of it, combined with buying a new house, moving, and trying to balancing everything else in life really took a toll on me. I wasn’t sleeping well, I stopped going to the gym and I was eating junk food basically non-stop. Needless to say I lost all my hard earned muscle and gained some not so hard earned fat in...
Read MoreGood morning everyone!! I got some great news last night so today is definitely a great one. Lets start with goals: I am thankful…that taking better care of myself reflected in my school progress second semester. (I realize this might sound a little selfish but hear me out). That I was taught healthy eating at a young age so that I wasn’t trying to start from scratch when I really decided to commit to it. For my legs – they allow me to do so much and I feel that often people without physical challenges take their ability to move/walk/dance/run for granted. Just remember that next time you don’t want to go running/do yoga/weight lift/swim/walk...

Then I did my shoulder/tricep workout on my fitness page so I am a liiiiite sore tonight. So for what I made...

Do early morning plyo/cardio at least three times. –> Until I get back in my habit of this it will keep being a weekly...

Read MoreI love watermelon. It was my favorite fruit in summer as a kid and still is. Today after my workout I wanted to use the last the we had in the fridge so I made a watermelon/banana protein shake and some egg whites with onion and bell peppers. For the shake I did my normal: 1 scoop pp 1/2 cup crushed ice 1/2 cup almond milk and added: 1/2 banana 3/4 cup cubed watermelon I forgot to compensate for how much liquid the watermelon holds so it was more of a “drink” than a “shake” but still perfect for the hot...

No drinking on the weekend. I got one new recipe under my belt tonight Since the Fatkid is Italian and I know he always wants something with pasta, sauce and cheese…I tried to compromise.
